It's been more than one month and I am not able to finish the earlier blog about Jakarta..
Let's finish this now...in short summarize version.
Jakarta entry point
* Reach Sukarno-Hatta Airport at 8.3 0a.m. and leave at 2.30p.m....just 2 days after that 4th June.
* For your information the airport is name after Indonesia first President and Vice President.
* Arrival hall is very quiet, most probably is still early in the morning.
* Departure hall is 'flooded' with homosapiens! ......and nothing much to discover at the airport.
Accomodation
* Woah! The hotel is amazing.....is some kind of European high end service apartment with an antique telephone.....big and huge hard cover books we see in Harry Potter's movie (too bad is written in Dutch language)....leather couch....and the classical wooden floor!
* The best part is we occupied the swimming pool, gym. and lounge......no body else using it beside us. Fantastic! Feel like you owning all of them....
* Washing facility is FOC....without further thinking, wash all our clothes before bring it back to
M'sia.
Transportation
* Walking is always the best way but is very limited due to the HOT weather.
* Using public transport in Jakarta is a bit of troublesome due to the huge population...9.1 millions peoples in Jakarta alone. IS MORE THAN WHOLE S'pore!
* Cab is everywhere and the vehicle that look alike like tut-tut from Thailand is at every corner of the street.
* Traffic jam is very common.....luckily we are there during weekend.
Food
* Food is everywhere...From street food to restaurant and to buffet style meal. No problem.
* Can someone tell me what ingredient they use for 'Sup Saudara'? or in English we translate it as Brother Soup.......some kind of Sulawesi's cuisine.
Place of Interest
* Many museums and the charges is cheap...RM3.50 or some free of charge.
* The Tower is amazing but the crowd is more amazing...too many people so just take a look from the Square and went off........and do the most crazy things there! Trespassing!!!!!
* There is not much Dutch influence left in Jakarta beside some of the infrastructure at Kota Lama.
That's all!
